Kiss Me Quick by Lynette Anderson is made up of 6 blocks.

Cross stitch samplers hold a great appeal to me, there is something about the alphabet that I love. I wanted to create a sampler style quilt, not too big and not too small but something just right for my wall or the back of a sofa. I have had fun including my cats and Hugo the dog along with some pretty wool flowers, the wool flowers are where the name for the quilt came from.

One of my favourite garden shrubs is ‘Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow’, also known as ‘Kiss Me Quick’ or if you want its technical name Brunfelsias. This pretty bush is from the nightshade family, hence the purple flowers. I love the way they fade a lighter shade as each day passes and as you can see I have two lovely pots full of them either side of my little house.

Simple piecing combined with various applique techniques and some of my favourite embroidery have resulted in this sweet quilt.’ Lynette x
